Peer Review Process

The Kyrgyzstan Journal of Global Pedagogical Science (KJGPS) adheres to the highest standards of scholarly publishing and employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic integrity, objectivity, and the quality of published articles.

Overview of the Review Process

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes the following steps:

  1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscript through the journal's submission system.

  2. Initial Technical Screening
The Managing Editor performs a technical check for formatting, language quality, and plagiarism (using similarity detection software).

  3. Editorial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief or designated Editorial Board Member assesses whether the manuscript fits the scope and standards of KJGPS. Manuscripts outside the scope or lacking academic quality may be desk-rejected.

  4. Assignment to Editor and Reviewers
If deemed suitable, the manuscript is assigned to an Editor who will:

    • Invite at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the field.

    • Ensure double-blind review: both author and reviewer identities are concealed.

  5. Peer Review Stage
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

    • Originality and significance

    • Methodology and rigor

    • Clarity and coherence

    • Relevance to the journal's scope Reviewers provide detailed reports and recommendations.

  6. Editorial Decision
Once the required reviews are received, the Editor makes a decision based on the reviewers' evaluations. The possible decisions include:

    • Accepted as is

    • Accepted with minor revisions

    • Accepted with major revisions

    • Resubmit for review (conditional rejection)

    • Rejected (outright rejection)

  7. Revision Process
If revisions are requested, authors are given a stipulated time to revise and resubmit. Revised manuscripts undergo further evaluation, either by the same reviewers or by the editorial team.

  8. Final Decision and Publication
If the revised manuscript meets all requirements, it proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, and galley preparation, followed by publication.

Efficiency and Integrity

KJGPS maintains:

  • A transparent and fair review process

  • Reviewer reminders to ensure timeliness

  • The right for Editors to request additional reviews if necessary

  • Strict compliance with ethical standards to handle conflicts of interest, research misconduct, or plagiarism

Each round from submission to editorial decision (steps 1–5) is considered one cycle of peer review.
